The Good Web Guide Website of the Year Award 2009 was geared towards small businesses and non-profit organisations. Over 1000 nominations were received. There was a high standard overall. One excellent site, YoungDebaters.com was submitted by Edward McGovern with the plea, ‘I am 13 and need to take the website further, but don’t have the money to do so.’The sites ranged across a number of interests from forums and social networks, entertainment, travel, retail, information, property, services, food, parenting and gardening. The following sites have been shortlisted and all have something unique to offer, whether it’s an interesting concept, useful information or plain fun. The winning site will be announced online no later than 6th November 09.
